BRAMÃŒTO DELLA SALA CHARDONNAY 2023 IGT Umbria
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ANTINORI
This 2023 repeat now has a slightly deeper light yellow colour and an initially attractive, gently complex, very bright, intense, ripe, lemony, toasty nose. Unfortunately it seemed to collapse quite significantly as it remained sitting in the glass. Dry, medium bodied, quite nicely textured, ripe, maturing, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, smooth, gently minerally, complex finish. It is approachable now but I am anxious about its shelf life. This blend of non-malolactic stainless steel fermented Chardonnay with some richer oak-fermented malolactic batches has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. It has a brand new bottling lot number L5029 on the lower part of the glass bottle (vs. 4260 for the previous shipment released on April 26, 2025). CSPC 176792

TASTING NOTE: A waft of roasted nut on the nose enriches the palate's lively range of steeped apricot, Mandarin orange peel, pastry cream and chamomile notes. Racy acidity gives the complex profile fine definition and carries this on the well-spiced finish. Drink now through 2033. Score - 91 (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, Nov. 30, 2024) Price $ 34.95
