PINOT NOIR 2023 Awatere Valley, Marlborough, South Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ERADUS
Medium-light cranberry red colour. Fresh, quite lively, very slightly spicy, gently floral, forward, raspberry-cassis-cherry nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, quite nicely textured, bright, ripe, plum-raspberry-crancherry flavours with a slightly minerally, crisp finish. Barrel-aged for 10 months, it has 13.5% alcohol, under 1 g/L residual sugar and a very high 5.3 pH (meaning low 3.2 g/L total acidity) with lot number 23114 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. Very pleasant but drink soon. CSPC 41809

TASTING NOTE: This has a singular nose of subtle blood oranges, preserved cherries, rose petals and a metallic touch. The palate is medium-bodied with a very pale color, but it retains concentration and grip in a very delicate way. Drink now.
