BROUILLY 2023 AOC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU DES TOURS
Bright fairly deep purple-red colour. Slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plum-cherry-raspberry nose with some very faintly leafy, minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, very bright, gently juicy, ripe, fresh, harmonious, plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a lingering, refreshing, lifted finish. This very tasty, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing, well priced 100% Gamay from the Cru Brouilly region has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. The grapes are partly destemmed before fermentation and macerated on the skins for two weeks with regular punching down for colour and flavour extraction. Great with salmon and especially poultry for your upcoming Thanksgiving turkey. CSPC 637835

TASTING NOTE: Black cherry, black plum, violet blossom and dried red cherry aromas fill the nose followed by Alpine strawberry and whisps of hibiscus. The palate begins with savory, herbal notes that quickly resolve into black fruit that lifts and carries the finish. Classic Brouilly.
