| What a remarkable buy. This extremely attractive, Western Cape, 100% Viognier was tasted after it had a chance to open up in the glass. Bright light yellow colour, the nose was surprisingly intense with fresh ripe apricot-tinged, lemon-apple meringue along with some toasty notes. Dry medium-plus bodied, very well structured with an abundance of ripe lemon-apple meringue flavours followed up by a lingering, very gently cedary finish. A versatile, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser, it has 13.6% alcohol and 4.5 g/L residual sugar with a hefty 6.5 g/L total acidity and lot number L24-234. Screwcap closure. |
