CIRĂ’ ROSSO CLASSICO 2023 DOC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer IUZZOLINI
Here is a vert tasty Calabrian red made from the local Gaglioppo grape which is basically an ancient Sangiovese cross. It has medium-deep red colour and a very slightly spicy, bright, ripe, fresh, plummy nose with some faint minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, bright, ripe plum-crancherry flavours with seemingly unoaked, mineral-tinged finish. It is versatile and ready-to-drink with 13% alcohol and about 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L32 on the back label. Goes very well with tomato-based recipes and is worthy of a detour.
