| This new 2021 has a very deep dark purple colour. Intense, complex, slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe plum-black-cherry-cassis nose with some bright, very faintly savoury, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, dense, ripe Damson plum fruit with black-cherry-cassis notes followed up by a lingering, bright, still very youthful, cedary, mineral-tinged finish. This tasty new blend of 39% Sangiovese, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot has 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L24339 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Dependably delicious, this 20th Vintages release is fairly priced and shows quite nicely now, albeit it will improve with additional aging. |
