| THE AUTHENTIC ASSYRTIKO 2023 PGI Macedonia |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
BOUTARI |
| NEW in Vintages. This 100% Assyrtiko has a medium straw colour and an intense, fairly complex classic nose focused on leesy-mineral notes layered on top of ripe lemon-apple fruit. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, very bright, lemon-apple flavours with some very faintly herbal, rather minerally, lingering leesy notes on the finish. Fermented in stainless steel and aged on stirred lees until just prior to bottling. Great with seafood and especially oysters, it has 12.6% alcohol, 2.3 g/L residual sugar and 5.1 g/L total acidity with lot number MA 010116/23 on the back label. |

| TASTING NOTE: This 100% Assyrtiko is sourced from mountain sites in Macedonia. It's zesty and bright, with excellent balance and an immediately appealing character. Tangy lemon, pear and apple join subtle lees-inspired toast notes, sharply defined minerality, and a pleasing texture. Perfect for sushi, grilled seafood, or simply sipping. |
