CHÂTEAU SAINT-ROCH |
| Jean-Marc Lafage privately owned vineyards date back 6 generations and this tasty 2023 has a bright extremely deep intense purple-ruby colour and an attractive, gently spicy, fairly complex, ripe, raspberry-plum-cherry purée nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium+ bodied, spicy, ripe, plummy-black-cherry-raspberry flavours with a mineral-tinged, lingering, mouthfilling finish. This blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault is half aged in large oak demi-muids, the other half in concrete tanks and has 15% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L25092A on the back label. It has appeared in Vintages 26 times and this 2022 is one of the best to date! |

| TASTING NOTE: 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Carignan. Intoxicating black olive and balsamic savoury notes fuse effortlessly with the shiny dark cherry fruit. All-encompassing and bold with sturdy tannins and a chalky texture. Score - 95 (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2025) |
