WILD FERMENT ASSYRTIKO 2024 PGI Peloponnese
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SKOURAS
This youthful, very classy, well-priced 100% Assyrtiko has a medium straw colour and a lovely, fresh, very faintly grassy, mineral-tinged, floral, ripe, lemon-melon-apple-yellow-grapefruit nose. Dry, medium bodied and nicely structured (aged sur lies for 4 months) with bright, fresh, ripe, citrusy, lemon-apple meringue flavours followed up by a lingering, refreshing, mineral-tinged finish. Versatile and quite ready to drink, it can actually improve over the next few years. It has 13% alcohol, under 2 g/L residual sugar and only 5 g/L total acidity with lot number L250320 on the back label. Screwcap closure. Outstanding value - the best to date. CSPC 32387
