Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FIUZA
This bargain-priced delicious August 2nd Portuguese highlight is a blend of Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet. It has a bright deep intense, purple-red colour and a slightly spicy, ripe, juicy, black-cherry-plum-crancherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, harmonious, ripe, plummy-crancherry-cassis flavours with a bright, lingering, gently cedary finish. TASTING NOTE: A rich, smooth wine, this is full of black fruits and ripe background tannins. With its structure softening and its black plum flavors coming to the fore, the wine is developing well. It is certainly worth aging further and will be ready to drink from 2025. Best Buy. Score - 90 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2024) Price $ 13.95
