MONTAGUE VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2022 VQA Four Mile Creek, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INNISKILLIN
This 2022 has a bright medium-deep purple-red colour. Bright, slightly spicy, fairly intense, ripe, plum-crancherry nose with some mineral and gentle cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, ripe, plum-crancherry-raspberry flavours with a slightly cedar-sandalwood-tinged, lingering, nicely textured, bright finish. It still has some slight tannins on the finish and will improve with another year or so of celllaring. It underwent an 11-day fermentation at 25ยบ and was aged for 15 months in a combo of new and older French oak. It has 13.5% alcohol, 3 g/L residual sugar and 5.5 g/L total acidity with lot number L240606 on the lower part of the glass bottle.
