MONTAGUE VINEYARD CHARDONNAY 2022 VQA Four Mile Creek, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INNISKILLIN
To celebrate 50-years, this just-released 2022 Monague Vineyard has a bright medium-light straw colour. Attractive, intense, ripe, lemon-apple-pear nose with some minerally elegant toasty notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied with bright, ripe, lemon-apple-pear fruit along with a lingering, fairly complex, nicely textured, gently toasty finish. This partial malolactic Chard was fermented in a mix of new (15%) and used French oak and has a 13.5% alcohol, 2.7 g/L residual sugar and 5 g/L total acidity. The rich mouthfeel is attributable to being aged on fine lees. It comes with a screwcap closure with lot number L240612 on the lower part of the glass bottle and is versatile and ready-to-drink.
