| This Wine of the Month was just reviewed at the LCBO where it was being featured. It had a fairly deep purple-red colour and a mature, plum-crancherry nose with some cedary-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, forward, mature, slightly oxidized, plum flavours with a very cedary, slightly tannic finish. This 100% Tempranillo has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. The batch shipped to the LCBO has lot number L74088 on the back label which states: brewed in american and french oak barrels 50% each - for 18 months. The last time it appeared in Vintages was on August 6, 2011 at $18.95. |
