| Extremely deep intense dense purple colour. This still youthful 100% Malbec has an intense, cedary, ripe, mullberry-cassis-raspberry nose with some minerality and a touch of red licorice. Dry, medium-plus bodied with fine mouthfeel, the bright, ripe, crancherry-cassis fruit is followed up be a lingering, well balanced, gently robust finish. Perfect for bbq meats, this well-priced crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar and sees 60% aged for 12 months in used French oak. The lot number L08525 on the back label. | TASTING NOTE: Fabre was one of the pioneers in showing the world the qualities of Río Negro. Since the mid-1990s this winery has been making wines in Allén, beside the banks of the Negro River. This comes from vineyards that are about 30 years old. 60% of the wine was aged in barrels for a year, and the rest, in concrete for a similar time. It's a wine that offers the classic notes of blue fruits, like a bowl of blueberries, it's juicy and fresh, the texture is very smooth, the acidity is friendly, and the flavors are deep.
