ASSYRTIKO 2023 PGI Achaia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MEGA SPILEO
Bright pale straw colour, it has an attractive, very slightly spicy, floral, ripe, lemon-apple-melon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, fairly intense, bright, stiil slightly tight, lemon-apple-melon flavours with a lingering, very bright, minerally, faintly savoury finish. Aged for three months on its lees in a combination of steel tanks and barrels, this well-priced 100% Assyrtiko has 12% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar wIVersatile and ready-to-drink, it would be great with tempura, sushi and seafood - especially oysters.
