| Impressive at first glance, this blend of 90% Nero d'Avola and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon comes in a extremely heavy bottle. Medium-deep red colour. Intense, very slightly spicy, complex, slightly dusty, ripe plum-crancherry nose with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, somewhat savoury, maturing, slightly dried, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, minerally, sandalwood-tinged finish. Aged for 16-18 months in French oak barriques with 14.5% alcohol and under 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L233060 on the back label. |
