NORMAN HARDIE CUVEE ORANGE SKIN FERMENTED WHITE 2022 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer NORMAN HARDIE
This recently-released direct store order has a bright slightly hazy yellow-tinged medium orange colour the nose is intense, complex, gently herbal. faintly leesy, rather spicy and rather ripe with citrusy-mandarin fruit along with a faintly pithy, brown sugar tinged, somewhat floral honeysuckle notes. Dry, medium plus bodied. intense, complex, very faintly salty, honey-tinged, tangerine zest flavours with a lingering, mouthfulling, very slightly bitter finish. The initial leesy note on the nose dissipate with some short breathing. A distinctive style that will be loved by some and perhaps not-so-loved by others. Personally, I really enjoyed the bright, distinctive flavours all set afloat on a well textured and engaging orange wine that shows both freshness and elegance. This 100% Gewurztarminer has 11.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L230614 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 38145
