| CRAZY ROWS PAÍS 2023 Valle de Colchagua |

| NEW in Vintages. Medium light purple-red colour. Juicy, raspberry-tinged, crancherry juice nose. Fairly dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, bright, crancherry-rasberry flavours with a fresh, crisp finish. Pleasant and ready-to-drink (perhaps slightly chilled), it has 12.5% alcohol with 2 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure. It was quite a tasty match with delicious freshly-shucked BC Fanny Bay oysters. This ancient grape was brought to the region by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century. Pais produces a lighter bodied, somewhat rustic red wine that typically has a light coloring. The grape's thin skin does not provide much extract and it is often harvested at high yields (up to 13 tons per acre). It is generally consumed in Chile as a inexpensive jug wine. This 2023 old bush vines is one of the best I have tasted. |

| TASTING NOTE: The Crazy Rows line allows you to discover varieties that were long outside the panorama of the Chilean establishment, such as, for example, the país that's currently experiencing a healthy comeback. In this excellent value for money you can see how fruity the grape can be, the firm and somewhat rustic tannins it offers, and the sensation of freshness that surrounds good examples.
