NOVELLUM CHARDONNAY 2023 France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LAFAGE
This ripe, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing Chardonnay has 30% aged in 1-year-old Burgundy barrels and 70% in tank on Viogier lees - both for 3 months. Pale straw colour with an intense, rather spicy, ripe, lemon-melon-apple-pear purée nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, spicy, ripe, spicy, lemon-apple-melon flavours with a lingering, harmonious, somewhat tropical finish. This newly designated “Vins de France” (formerly IGP Pays d'Oc) has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2502A on the lower part of the glass bottle. Try with roast chicken.
