| This 100% Sangiovese has a deep intense red colour. Intense, complex, gently earthy, cedary, warm ripe plum nose with some faint herbal notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly extracty, very faintly spicy, intense, ripe, expansive, Damson-plum-red-cherry flavours with a complex, gently cedary, cassis-tinged, well textured, lingering finish. Still quite youthful, it has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L3101. |

| TASTING NOTE: Wow. This shows a beautiful shift in character towards freshness and brightness, with lots of dried flowers and hints of sandalwood. Medium to full body with firm, fine tannins. Energetic finish. Lots of fresh herbs and pine to the fruit at the end. Pure sangiovese. Give this a couple of years, but already top-quality Chianti Classico. Best ever? [Enjoy through mid-2030s.] Score - 96 (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 15, 2024) |
