SINGLE VINEYARD SAUVIGNON BLANC 2024 Southern Valleys, Marlborough, South Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer AUNTSFIELD
Bright light straw colour. Attractive, very gently herbal, intense, ripe, wintermelon-lemon-apple fruit on the nose with some bright, minerally notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, nicely textured, ripe, lemon-apple-yellow-grapefruit flavours with a lingering, bright, very slightly spicy, gently grassy, minerally finish. Showing nicely now, this refined, low-crop level 2024 Sauvignon Blanc may well get even better with its life-saving 7.2 g/L total acidity combined with fine structure and extended lees aging. It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L47487. CSPC 663286

TASTING NOTE: It's pristine and fabulously aromatic on the nose, showing Granny Smith apple, white flesh peach, garden herb and lemon sorbet characters. The palate delivers excellent weight and intensity, wonderfully framed by saline texture and bright acidity, finishing impressively long and structured. At its best: now to 2036.
