| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
BUTTERFIELD |
| Fairly deep purple colour. Somewhat shy, very slightly spicy, restrained, lightish, Damson plum nose with some faint hints of raspberry. Dry, medium bodied, very bright, restrained, raspberry-plum-crancherry fruit followed up by a gently minerally finish. Seems a tad restrained at the moment, it has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |

| TASTING NOTE: Toronto native David Butterfield has been making wine in Beaune under his own label, Butterfield, since the early 2000s. This one comes from clay and limestone soils in the south of Burgundy. Silky and elegant, it evokes wild cherry, blackcurrant, plum and fresh mushroom. |
