| THE NORTH ASSYRTIKO 2024 IGP Florina, vegan |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
KIR-YIANNI |
| Internationally recognized as one of the great indigenous white grapes of Greece, this vibrant ripe 2024 Assyrtiko is a must buy. Pale straw in colour, it has a fresh, slightly spicy, somewhat floral, honeysuckle nose with some citrusy, fresh, melon-pear fruit along with some still youthful, slightly leesy-mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, very fresh, winter melon and ripe pear flavours with a lingering, crisp, refreshing, well balanced finish. This very well-priced crowd-pleaser is ready-to-drink and perfect with pasta, poultry and/or seafood (especially mussels and calamari). It spent 4 months on the lees and has 13.5% alcohol and 1.3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L03125Y on the back label. Screwcap closure. |

| TASTING NOTE: Made from 100% Assyrtiko sourced from local growers at high altitudes in the hills of Amyndeon, this unoaked wine spent over four months on the lees gaining extra depth. It's crisp and poised, with notions of crunchy orchard fruit and subtle marine salt. Pair with fried calamari or zucchini blossoms. |
