This longtime Vintages Essential has a $2 LTO until Feb 1st. Deep intense purple-red colour with an attractive, slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum, raspberry, black-cherry-cassis nose with lots of toasty-cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, ripe, fruit-driven, raspberry-cassis-cherry flavours with a lingering, cedary, harmonious, bright finish. Delicious and crowd-pleasing, especially when poured into a large Riedel Ouverture Double Magnum glass. Aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, it has 15.9% alcohol and 6.8 g/L total acidity with a screwcap closure.
