GROWERS BLEND CABERNET FRANC 2021 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TAWSE
Fairly deep purple-red colour, the nose shows lots of ripe crancherry fruit with some spicy, mineral-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely textured, gently cedary, fairly intense, bright, plum-crancherry-raspberry-cassis flavours with a lingering, faintly savoury, bright finish. Quite ready-to-drink, it has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 07/02/24 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, this 2021 Cabernet Franc seems perfectly approachable now when paired with a rack of lamb. CSPC 284570
