LES VILLAGES BENCH PINOT NOIR 2024 VQA Niagara Escarpment
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BACHELDER
This silver award-winning 2024 Pinot Noir has faintly ambering medium-light red colour. Gently earthy, maturing, ripe, plum-rosehip nose with some hints of sandalwood. Dry, medium bodied, nicely textured, slightly spicy, intense, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, bright, refreshing, raspberry-tinged finish. This elegant blend of single-vineyard Bench barrels is showing very nicely now. It has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L202600704 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: An alluringly perfumed Pinot Noir, Bachelder's Les Villages draws its voice from the Bench terroir of the Niagara Escarpment. Aromas of forest floor and rosebud lead into a palate of ripe cherry and cherry skin, carried by lithe tannins. Lifted, precise, and transparently made, finishing with a subtle hint of dried mint and impressive persistence. Ready to drink. Tasted April 2026.
