Medium-deep red colour. Bright, gently juicy, ripe, raspberry-plum nose with some faintly minerally, cassis-tinged notes. Dry, medium bodied, very slightly spicy, lively, bright, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, lifted, harmonious finish. This tasty, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing 100% Gamay was aged for 4 months in neutral American oak. It has 12% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 080725 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Only 257 cases produced. Screwcap closure. CSPC 53051

TASTING NOTE: This Gamay was sourced from the Jozhay Vineyard in Lincoln Lakeshore. It was aged four months in oak to create a juicy, fruit-forward wine with plenty of berry character, fresh acidity and soft tannin structure. The producer suggests serving it slightly chilled with coq au vin, tuna niçoise salad, or mild cheeses and berry compote. Price $ 25.95
