HIDDEN BENCH |
| Bright violet-red colour. Gently complex, fairly intense, bright, ripe, plum-raspberry-crancherry fruit aromatics with some minerally, very gently cedary notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, nicely textured, vibrant, ripe, plum-raspberry-cherry flavours and a lingering, minerally, faintly toasty, rather crisp finish. Refined, nicely balanced, quite ready-to-drink. Organic, unfined and unfiltered, it has 13.1% alcohol and under 1 g/L residual sugar. Aged for 9 months in a mix of French barrels, it was recently bottled on April 4, 2026 (L2026-04-09 on the lower part of the glass bottle) and likely improve with another year of aging. |

| TASTING NOTE: Hidden Bench has hit on something special with this Gamay, and with every vintage of this juicy, dense wine, they continue to raise the bar. It's fermented with ambient yeast before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The berry fruit, raspberry, spice and garden herbs are perfect for roast turkey and sautéed mushrooms. |
