OLD VINES WHITE 2025 WO Swartland
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MULLINEUX
This new 2025 blend of 70% Chenin Blanc, 11% Clairette Blanche, 8% Viognier, 6% Grenache Blanc and 5% Sémillon Gris is showing beautifully. Light yellow colour, it has intense, complex, bright, fruit-driven aromas - fresh pear, ripe nectarine and apricot along with buttered toast and lemon brioche. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well-textured, complex, ripe, rich, citrusy-tangering-apricot flavours with a lingering, toasty, harmonious finish. it has 14% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and 5.6 g/L total acidity. Bottled on January 6, 2026, it was aged on its primary lees for 10 months in previously used French oak 500L barrels along with two new 2,000L foudre. While it will still improve with bottle age, it is showing beautifully now. CSPC 556597
