| This release features two more very high-end Santorini ARGYROS Assyrtikos on top of their three recent $80+ July 18 releases. This remarkable “PURE” edition is made from certified 200-year-old ungrafted vines. This 2022 has a medium-light straw colour and an intense, bright, complex, lemon-apple meringue nose with some toasty, lees-inspired minerally notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well textured, intense albeit elegant, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours followed up by a harmonious, lingering, bright, lifted finish. Delicious today, it will improve with aging and can be easily cellared for another decade. Harvested on August 3, 2022, this remarkable Assyrtiko spent 14 months in cement vats on fine lees. It has 14.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with 6.6 g/L total acidity. NEW in Vintages. |
