VERMENTINO DE SARDEGNA 2024 DOC, Sardinia, Italy
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SANTADI VILLA SOLAIS
This Sardinia is well-known for Vermentino which is an ancient Italian variety which thrives in a number of regions. Pale straw in colour, Santadi’s 2024 has a very intense, gently complex, somewhat grassy, very bright, grapefruit pith nose. Very dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly bitter, mineral-driven, refreshing, citrusy flavours with some bitter almond notes on the lingering somewhat savoury finish. Great with oysters and seafood - it is quite distinctive and is not for everyone. It has 12.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.A073-26 on the capsule. Screwcap closure.
