| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
DOMAINE PASCAL RENAUD AUX CHAILLOUX |
| This limited edition old-vines Chardonnay (65-year-old vine average) has a medium yellow colour. The nose has intense, ripe, very slightly spicy, complex, yellow-plum-apple-melon fruit with some fairly toasty noes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well-textured, ripe, ready-to-enjoy, lemon-apple-melon flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, rounded finish. It has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L13022024 on the back label. Extended lees aging and minimal filtration has provided richness to this distinguished 1er Cru Pouilly-Fuisse. NEW in Vintages. |

| TASTING NOTE: A plot of 1.20ha, including a good proportion of vines from the 1940s, and elevage in demi-muids without any new wood. Pale yellow colour, with a fair generosity of fruit. Some apricots here, a nutty note, opens out quite exuberantly on the palate, with adequate acidity beneath the flesh, and a fine long finish. Drink from 2026-2032. Tasted June 2025. Score - 91 (Jasper Morris, MW, insideburgundy.com, Feb. 2026) |
