100 HILLS DRY RIESLING 2024 Rheinhessen
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer WITTMANN
NEW in Vintages. Certified organic since 1990 and biodynamic since 2004, this wine has been aged in large old barrels in the vaulted cellar built in 1829. Bright pale straw colour, the sleek ultra dry nose shows lots of minerality with some edgy, lemon-yellow-grapfruit notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very bright, slightly citrusy, lemon-apple flavours with a very crisp, refreshing, youthful finish. Best with oysters and fresh fish, it has 11.5% alcohol and 0 g/L residual sugar with lot APN number 4 327 375 010 25 on the back label. CSPC 50692

TASTING NOTE: The forthright citrus and yellow apple aromas pull you into this juicy, barely medium-bodied dry Riesling, the touch of melted butter character helping to round out the finish. Already very appealing in spite of its extreme youth. From organically grown grapes. Drink now. Score - 90 (jamessuckling.com, March 19, 2025) Price $ 21.95
