| ROSSO MONTEFALCO 2023 DOC |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ARNALDO-CAPRAI |
| Deep purple red colour. Fairly intense, gently spicy, bright, plum-crancherry nose with some slightly savoury, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium plus bodied, quite nicely textured, very slightly earthy, dark plum and blackberry flavours with a faintly bricky finish. Works well with tomato-based dishes and various cuts of beef. It has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Quite ready-to-drink, this is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot |

| TASTING NOTE: Blueberries, dried herbs, walnuts and tea leaves on the nose of this savory red. It's full-bodied with sturdy but fine-grained tannins that turn creamy at the end. Drink now or hold [through 2030+]. Score - 91 (Claire Nesbitt, jamessuckling.com, Feb. 6, 2026) |
