| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LA BRACCESCA |
| Fairly deep ruby colour with a fairly intense, slightly spicy, dried plum nose that shows some lead-pencil-tinged, cedar-sandalwood, notes. Dry, medium plus bodied, still fairly youthful, slightly spicy, ripe plum flavours with an elegant, crisp, gently cedary, sandalwood-tinged finish. This blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |

| TASTING NOTE: Aromas of ripe mulberries and blackberries with dark spices, burnt orange peel and earth. Full and structured with a deep core of ripe dark fruit and tight-grained, chalky tannins. Lingering finish. Better after 2026 [or decant for one hour to enjoy tonight. This will evolve into the early 2030s]. Score - 93 (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 31, 2023) |
