ROCCHE COSTAMAGNA |
| This 2021 has a medium red colour and an attractive, very slightly spicy, gently complex, sandalwood-tinged, ripe, plum-black-currant-tinged nose. Dry, medium plus bodied, extracty, quite youthful, still firm, slightly tannic, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, somewhat cedary, slightly earthy, extremely bright finish. Seems quite compressed at the moment and likely needs several more years to open up. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. with lot number L28RBL21/25 on the back label. |

| TASTING NOTE: An intense wine with aromas of bergamot, potpourri, filigreed red currants, mint, minerals, chocolate and olives. A savory palate with a full body, firm, dusty yet ripe tannins, vibrant, zesty acidity and an attractive aftertaste. Try after 2027. Score - 95 (Aldo Fiordelli, jamessuckling.com, Jan. 9, 2025) |
