| CAYROL VIEILLES VIGNES CARIGNAN 2023 IGP Cotes Catalanes |

DOMAINE LAFAGE |
| This 2023 is the sixth Vintages release and one of the best to date. Deep intense purple colour, this 100% Carignan has an attractive, gently spicy, fairly intense, ripe, black-cherry-cassis-plum nose with some minerally, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied and nicely textured, the slightly spicy, ripe, cassis-raspberry-plum flavours are followed up with a lingering, bright, gently complex finish. Tasty, versatile and approachable, it will pair very well with bbq ribs, steak and/or roast beef. Made from 50-year-old-vines, this award-winner has 14.5% alcohol and under 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L25316 on the lower part of the hefty glass bottle which is sealed with red wax. |

| TASTING NOTE: From 60+-year-old vines, this wine is big, bold, firm and rich, with savoury herbs, chocolate, mixed red and black fruit, earth, bramble, and dried flowers. It will be great with seared prime rib, aged cheddar, or vegan mushroom-and-veggie stew served over mashed potatoes. Enjoy through 2030 and beyond. |
