Vintage Assessments Tasting Note

This 2024 has a pale straw colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, mineral-driven nose with some honeyed, floral, ripe, apple-lemon-melon fruit. Off dry, medium to medium-light bodied, bright, slightly spicy, fresh, lemon-apple flavours with a crisp, mineral-tinged finish. Still a tad shy, it has 10% alcohol and 18.6 g/L residual sugar with a hefty 8 g/L total acidity and lot number 20230804 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure.

TASTING NOTE: Limestone is synonymous with wines of authenticity and provenance. It provides excellent drainage while retaining sufficient moisture to ensure vine health. These soils also contain a high mineral content and moderate temperatures; factors that combine to create wines of balance and precision, like this crisp, vibrant Riesling. Look for peach, citrus, apple and a pure, unmistakable mineral note and pair with ham or spicy seafood appetizers.
