CHIMÈRES CÔTES DU ROUSSILLON-VILLAGES 2022 AOP
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU SAINT-ROCH
Jean-Marc Lafage privately owned vineyards date back 6 generations and this tasty 2023 has a bright extremely deep intense purple-ruby colour and an attractive, gently spicy, fairly complex, ripe, raspberry-plum-cherry purée nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium+ bodied, spicy, ripe, plummy-black-cherry-raspberry flavours with a mineral-tinged, lingering, mouthfilling finish. This blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault is half aged in large oak demi-muids, the other half in concrete tanks and has 15% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. It has appeared in Vintages 27 times and this 2022 is one of the best to date! CSPC 119354
