Bright light yellow colour. Attractive, complex, intense, bright, ripe, Anjou pear tinged, lemon-apple meringue nose with some gentle toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, bright, quite mouthfilling, gently toasty, lemon-apple-pear fruit with a a lingering, harmonious, faintly buttery, lifted finish. This new batch of LA RESERVE (lot L25149C on the back label and 24.47 on the cork) is a blend of 57% Chardonnay, 29% Pinot Noir and 12% Pinot Meunier. It is based on the 2021 harvest (47%) with the balance being reserve wines from 2015 to 2020, it has 12% alcohol with approximately 4 years of lees aging followed by a dosage of 6.5 g/L. This delicious sipper has touch more complex than the previous release on December 14, 2024 with lot number L23131. CSPC 39865

TASTING NOTE: This is a classy, complex and even Champagne - very focused. Expect intense aromas of dried apple/pear, honey, brioche and dried onion crisps. It is dry, brisk, firm and very well balanced. Excellent to outstanding length. A style that will perform well either as a reception and canape sipper, or a fish course. Tasted December 2024.
