| CUVÉE III RED 2023 PGI Achaia |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MEGA SPILEO |
| This spicy blend of 40% Mavrodaphne, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Agiorgitiko has a very deep intense purple colour and an intense, floral, fairly complex, very ripe, plum-cassis-black-cherry nose with some faintly smoky, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, quite well structured, spicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, cedar-vanilla finish. Has full malolactic and was aged in new American oak for 8 months with 13% alcohol and now only 4 g/L residual sugar. It has lot number L25098 on the back label and is much better that the previous overripe 14% alcohol 2022. |

| TASTING NOTE: This wine is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrodaphne with 20% Agiorgitiko. Vinified separately and aged for eight months in new oak, the varieties produce a complex, layered, ripe wine with generous fruit, chocolate, mixed spices, vanilla and coconut. This balanced, lush wine has the structure for grilled fare. Enjoy it through 2028+. |
