| Bright pale yellow colour with streams of fine bubbles. Slightly spicy, bright, ripe, melon-apple-lemon-pear nose with some gently toasty, minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, crisp, ripe apple-pear flavours with a harmonious, nicely textured, lingering, effervescent finish. This versatile, tasty 100% Chardonnay was aged for over 7 years on the lees and has 12% alcohol, 3 g/L residual sugar and about 9 g/L total acidity with bottling lot number 12/15/25 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Unlike the 2016 which was released last November and is still improving as it ages, this very recently-disgorged 2017 is surprisingly ready-to-enjoy now. |
