PARELLON NATURAL SEMILLON 2024 DO Valle de Colchagua Costa
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MATURANA
Bright light yellow colour. Intense, complex, slightly spicy, honeyed, ripe, tropical-tinged, citrusy-mango nose with lots of nutty-toasty-mineral notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well-textured, somewhat spicy, slightly honeyed, ripe, citrusy, tropical-tinged, apricot-wintermelon flavours with a lingering, nutty, bright finish. A unique style that go well with spicy, flavourful dishes. The great mouthfeel is the result of 20% being aged on the skins for 18 weeks. It has 13.5% alcohol, 1.5 g/L residual sugar and comes with a orange-tinged wax capsule. CSPC 15745

TASTING NOTE: This is one of our favorite wines in the Maturana catalog, a white with the heart of a red, it is structured, rich in honey tones, ripe white fruits, and especially nuts that appear in the mouth, increasing that sensation of voluptuousness. A wine of generous proportions, ideal to accompany a fish casserole. Parellón comes from an old vineyard planted to semillon in 1928. It is dry farmed on the slopes of the Coastal Mountain Range in the Paredones area, very close to the sea in the Colchagua Valley. The grapes undergo partial maceration with the skins (25% of the total volume) for three months, all in stainless steel tanks. Score - 94 (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2025) Price $ 28.95
