| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
RENATO RATTI |
| This 17th VINTAGES release of Renato Rattiās single vineyard Marcenasco focuses on the elegant side of the equation. It has a faint amber-edged medium red colour and an intense, very faintly spicy, gently complex, rose-petal-tinged, ripe, plum-raspberry nose with some minerally, red licorice and sandalwood notes. Dry, medium plus bodied, surprisingly intense, harmonious, nicely structured and slightly spicy with ripe Damson plums and licorice-tinged, red cherry flavours along with a lingering, cedar-sandalwood finish. This seamless 100% Nebbiolo has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |

| TASTING NOTE: Assertive aromas of graphite, violets, mint and chalky minerality. A stunning, precise wine focused on elegance, with citrus flavors, a full body and lavish, velvety tannins supported by freshness. Long, youthful and savory aftertaste. Try from 2026, but best after 2030. Score - 97 (jamessuckling.com, Jan. 11, 2025)i |
