| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
DOMAINE QUEYLUS |
| Bright pale straw colour with an attractive, intense, gently spicy, faintly honeyed, mineral-tinged, ripe, lemon-apple-pear meringue nose with some cedary notes. It’s dry, medium bodied albeit quite well structured, harmonious, gently spicy and somewhat cedary with ripe, lemon-pear-apple flavours and a lingering, fairly high acid, faintly tropical-tinged finish. Favourful and quite ready-to-drink, it has 12.7% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2024-05-10 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

| TASTING NOTE: Warm and inviting, textural like silk, some glycerol and running soothingly smooth from start to finish shows a different look and separates itself from other vintages. Kelly Mason's ability to change it up while still maintaining an always high level is a chardonnay testament to a team that ranks with the hardest working makers in Niagara Peninsula show business. There are clean yeasty notes, like sourdough in the proofing stage and subtle baking spice with texture truly divining the directive for high quality \"classico\" Niagara chardonnay. Never gives up or in, never too hot or cold, a great vintage in Mason's estimation, but then again, \"anything was better than '21.\" Drink 2024-2027. Tasted July 2024.
