TASTING NOTE: Based on 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% Mourvèdre from the more southern portions of the Costières appellation and vinified with 30% whole clusters and aged one year with 25% in barrels, the 2023 Costières De Nîmes Nostre Païs reveals notes of black raspberries, pepper, wildflowers, lavender, and spice. It's medium bodied, has a layered, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and outstanding length. This is a \"wow\" Costières de Nîmes that's best enjoyed over the coming 4-6 years, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve longer. Drink date: 2025-2031.
