| GRANDE RÉSERVE MALBEC 2022 AOC Cahors |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CALOS |
| This still-youthful 2022 Grande Reserve Malbec has a deep intense purple colour. The nose is quite intense with lots of dark plum fruit along with floral, rose-violet-tinged notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly dense, well structured, ripe albeit quite firm, plum-cassis-black-cherry fruit with a lingering, bright, minerally finish. Best this a robust stew, it will definitely improve with aging. It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 150925 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Produced by Les Vignobles Saint Didier Parnac it is NEW in Vintages. |

| TASTING NOTE: A spicy, smoky wine, named after the stony terroir of Cahors, is full and seriously structured. Tannins and a solid core, alongside black fruits, give a wine with great potential. Drink from 2027. Editors' Choice. Score - 93 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2024) |
