Fairly deep purple colour, the nose is gently savoury with very ripe, plum-cherry fruit along with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, well textured, faintly savoury, ripe, plummy-crancherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, bright, fairly juicy, cassis-tinged finish. This ready-to-drink blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 12 months in 600-liter French oak casks (demi-muids) and bottled unfiltered. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. More forward than the richer, higher-scoring 2020 released on March 1, 2025 at $34.95. CSPC 525931

TASTING NOTE: A blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Vieux Chevrol possesses a gourmand, lively bouquet of flowers, dark cherries and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, round and sappy, it's enrobing with a charming, fresh mid-palate and a lively finish with notes of mulberries and cassis. Perfectly crafted, there is no reason to wait.
