| Bright light yellow colour with streams of very tiny bubbles. Attractive, slightly spicy, ripe, Anjou-pear-lemon-apple nose with some toasty-minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, complex, forward, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, bright, rich, toasty. rounded finish. The nicely textured, versatile, crowd-pleaser is ready to enjoy now. A totally new 2018 blend of only 42% Chardonnay (was 70% in 2017), a hefty 53% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier was tiraged in February 2019 and disgorged in the summer of 2024 with some 60+ months on the lees. It has 13% alcohol, 3 g/L residual sugar and 7 g/L total acidity. |
