DOMAINE EVREMOND |
| This note is based on a blind comparative tasting of 4 sparkling wines which turned out to be the new Vintager November 22 English Classic Cuvee releases. Tasted third, Langham was the second most expensive at $99.95. Bright medium straw colour. Fairly attractive, plum-tinged, lemon-apple nose with some minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, very slightly spicy, bright, ripe, lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, nicely effervescent finish. This Edition 1 has 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier from 2020 (80%) and 2019 (20%). Disgorged August 2024 after 38 months on the lees. |

| TASTING NOTE: This leads with aromas of green apples, honey, lemons and crushed stones, followed by delicate pastry and sea-salt undertones on the palate. It's cool and very fresh yet soft, with a medium body and silky bubbles. Elegant and balanced, backed by crisp acidity throughout. Excellent debut. 55% pinot noir, 35% chardonnay and 10% pinot meunier, from 2020 (80%) and 2019 (20%). Disgorged August 2024 after 38 months on the lees. 7g/L dosage. Drink or hold. Score - 94 (jamessuckling.com, June 19, 2025) |
